Accessibility statement

We want everyone to be able to use the Filos Stays website, including people who rely on screen readers, keyboard navigation, captions, or other assistive technology. We’re building toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the standard most widely used to measure whether a website works for people with disabilities.

Where we stand

The Filos Stays website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means most of the standard is met, but some parts of the site may not yet meet every criterion. We have not completed a formal third-party audit.

What we’re doing

We treat accessibility as part of building and maintaining the site, not a one-time task. The site is built with semantic HTML and labeled landmarks; every page can be operated by keyboard alone, with a skip-to-content link and a visible focus indicator on each interactive element. We respect the operating-system reduced-motion setting, text and interface colors are chosen to meet the AA contrast ratio, and images that carry meaning have alternative text while decorative images are hidden from screen readers. On an ongoing basis, we:

  • Design and build pages with accessibility in mind, and fix issues as we find them
  • Review the site as we add or change content
  • Plan to complete a formal accessibility review and address what it surfaces

We expect the site to improve over time, and we welcome anything you can tell us that helps.

No accessibility overlay

We do not use an accessibility overlay or widget (such as AccessiBe or UserWay). Those tools do not deliver real conformance and can interfere with the assistive technology a visitor already uses. We fix accessibility issues in the site itself.

If any part of this site is hard to use or you can’t access something you need, please tell us. Email accessibility@filosstays.com and include:

  • The page or address (URL) where you ran into the problem
  • What you were trying to do
  • What got in the way

We’ll reply within 5 business days. While we work on a fix, we’ll give you the information or help you complete what you came to do another way — by email or phone.

Third-party content

Some parts of the site rely on tools we don’t fully control, such as our booking system and embedded maps. We can’t guarantee the accessibility of everything those tools produce, but if one of them is a barrier for you, contact us and we’ll help you reach that information or service another way.

Our approach

We make reasonable efforts to keep this site accessible and to improve it over time. This statement reflects a genuine commitment rather than a guarantee, and we update it as the site changes.
